With a diameter approximately the size of a baseball, wolverine tracks have five toes arranged in a 1-3-1 group. Sometimes the smallest toe, on the inside of the foot, will not register. The wolverine’s interdigital pad is a chevron and the proximal pad and heel will often not register. Due to the fact that wolverine feet are not well-furred, individuals will leave distinct tracks in the snow.
The gallop stride for a wolverine is roughly 35 inches (90 cm) and mostly has a 2×2 and 3×3 gallop pattern.
