Odocoileus virginianus

Prints are often heart-shaped with a convex wall and the pad will occupy most of the the clout. The subunguinis is usually very narrow.

The walking stride for a white-tailed deer is about 30 inches (75 cm). When pronking or stoting (leaping in the air), the front and hind feet hit the ground simultaneously. When in the hurry, the white-tailed deer will often gallop and not pronk or stot.
