Mountain Goat tracks can be prominent and heavy with a large subunguinus. Unlike other hoofed mammals, the tip of the clout on mountain goats is in the middle of each clout. Other hoofed animals have the tip of their clout more toward the inside of the clout than the outside. Mountain goats walk most of the time with a stride that is roughly 30 inches (75 cm).
