Mink tracks have five toes that register in a 1-3-1 grouping, though the smallest toe on the inside of the foot will sometimes not register. The webbing between the toes will often show and the interdigital pad is a chevron. The heel rarely shows and the proximal pad sometimes only registers on the front foot mark.
The mink will usually either bound or gallop. The bounding stride is usually about 14 inches (35 cm) while the galloping stride is about 20 inches (35 cm).
