Daniel Webster Park

In the South Loop just a couple blocks from the Agora, the world-famous art installation in Grant Park is Daniel Webster Park. Small and built for local families, Daniel Webster is not a destination dog park, but one that can help if you find yourself near Soldier Field and are looking for a nice, quiet area to check out.

Like most parks, there can be occasional conflicts between parents of children and dog owners when they let their dogs off the leash, however, local dog owners have made this park an unofficial dog park. The area is affluent, so be aware that police cars patrol the area often. While that makes it a very safe park for people, it also raises the chance of being fined for your dog off leash.

NOTABLE FEATURES:

In the warm months, a 60-foot pergola makes for a great place to have a seat with a pleasant, old-country feeling.

GETTING THERE:

Located at 14th Street and Indiana, Daniel Webster Park is easy to reach by foot or car.
